Your songs and related app data are stored on the Apple device and in your iCloud account only and are not shared with other users. Song files, audio, lyrics, and scores are not uploaded to Musician Apps servers for analytics. The data you provided during the in-app purchase is handled by Apple Inc. only. Optional product analytics collects sparse anonymized usage events only when you grant consent (first-run prompt or Settings → General → Anonymous usage analytics), under GDPR. You can change this choice at any time in Settings. If you turn analytics off, BandScore stops uploading and clears the pending on-device event queue.

When enabled, analytics may include coarse app and purchase-funnel events (for example app opens, onboarding or product tour steps, upgrade prompts, and purchase or restore outcomes) and high-level Assistant outcomes (for example whether a turn succeeded or failed, allowlisted reason codes, and capability-gap codes). Events may contain a random device-local identifier, timestamps, app version, and similar technical codes. Analytics data is sent over HTTPS to our own server at analytics.musician-apps.com (self-hosted; no third-party analytics SDK such as PostHog) and is retained on the order of approximately 90 days for product improvement. IP addresses may be used briefly for rate limiting and are not stored in the analytics event data.

We do not automatically collect the text of Assistant chat messages (utterances or replies), song titles, file paths, lyrics, score contents, your name, email address, Apple ID, or advertising identifiers. If you have opted into analytics and later tap thumbs down on the Assistant to send feedback, that report may include the chat transcript and an optional comment you write (length-capped). Capability-gap analytics still sends only allowlisted codes, never the text that triggered the turn. Analytics data is not sold and is not used for tracking across other apps or websites or for advertising.
