Perfect Timing – Metronome

The iOS app Perfect Timing supports your timing training by providing feedback on your playing precision.

What is ‘Perfect Timing’?

This app is different from other metronome apps:

• Your playing is recorded and analyzed for playing precision
• You can replay the recording measure by measure to analyze your playing
• Playing modes On-beat, Off-beat, Metronome and Beat-pattern
• For guitar, bass, drums, and other percussive instruments
• The app can analyze your precision of note attack and, in some modes optionally, how precise you release the note.

Free version

The free version of this app has some limitations:

• Playing limit for 2 minutes per day
• Playing modes “On beat” and “Metronome” only.

Why should you use Perfect Timing?

Having a good timing is a very important for playing an instrument. Some teachers say, this is even more important than hitting the right tone.

Gifted people might have a good timing naturally, but most of us need to train this. As it is with other training stuff: only regular, concentrated practice makes you better.

Perfect Timing helps you to train your timing and receive feedback on you training:

• Indication of your attack precision during playing/recording
• Evaluation of your timing precision after the playing with statistics
• Focus on practicing slow
